We have decided to take up skiing again. Ryan and I both used to ski when we were teens THEN switched to snowboards in our 20's with everyone else and their DOG.
Then we had a family, GOT old and didn't want to hurt ourselves snowboarding anymore...bahhaha!!SOOO true! All of a sudden I was scared of getting hurt. AND I couldn't fit into my old snowboarding outfit AT ALL....think sausage. No, think so tight I'd be like Ralphie on "A Christmas Story" ..."I can't get up"..TRUE story
We really want to do fun activities with the kids. We love the snow and winter SOOooo thought his would be a fun thing to start doing??
Who knows.....WE got FULLY geared through craigslist and Sports Reply (consignment store). Crazy good deals. Cheap as borscht. Roxy ski's off craigslist for the girls $40 each?? Ummmm YEAH!!!
The deals kept flowing. WE also traded in a bunch of old sports goods and got a credit SOOOOOOOO..... WE thought about just renting BUT the prices were to good to pass AND new boots for the girls are literally $18...no biggie for each season. Hoping to get a good couple seasons out of their ski's.
WE may not even like it? BUT at least we tried and we will HAVE FUN DOING IT.
Thankful for my hubs pushing me out of my comfort zone. I could easily become the type of person to stay "comfortable".
NOT GOOD. I always am proud of myself when I push and I come out on the other side proud. This is something I desperately want my kids to inherit from Ry. PLEASE LORD. If not, cat lady here we come..bhahah!! KIDDING KIDDING
